The AFC "C" Diploma Coaching Course in Panabo City - A Success!
Davao City, Philippines – The football community in the Davao Region is celebrating the successful completion of two significant coaching courses aimed at elevating the quality of local coaches. The recently concluded PFF D Course, hosted by the Davao-South Regional Football Association (DRFA), and the AFC "C" Diploma Coaching Course, organized by DavNor RFA - North Davao Regional Football Association, Inc. in cooperation with Panabo United Football Club, Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), and the Local Government Unit (LGU), have been lauded as crucial steps in the development of football in the region.
A central figure in the success of these programs is PFF Coaching Education facilitator Ariston Carpio Bocalan. His expertise and guidance have been instrumental in enhancing the knowledge and skills of participating coaches, contributing significantly to the overarching goal of improving the standard of football instruction in Davao.
The Davao-South Regional Football Association was commended for its hospitality and efficient hosting of the PFF D Course, providing a valuable learning environment for aspiring coaches focused on grassroots development.
Meanwhile, the collaborative effort behind the AFC "C" Diploma Coaching Course was also highlighted. DavNor RFA, in partnership with Panabo United Football Club, DNSC, and the local LGU, successfully delivered a comprehensive program that combined online sessions from April 2nd to 6th with intensive onsite training at Davao del Norte State College in Panabo City from April 27th to May 1st, 2025. The efforts of these organizations underscore a unified commitment to football development across the Davao Region.
Special recognition was also given to the Head Instructor of the AFC "C" Diploma Course, Coach Datu Abing, whose leadership and expertise guided the participants through the rigorous curriculum.
These coaching initiatives reflect a strong dedication within the Davao football community to invest in coach education, ultimately benefiting the growth of the sport at all levels. The successful completion of these courses marks a significant step forward in nurturing talent and fostering a higher quality of football within the region.
Davao City Set to Host Exciting Golazo Futbol Winners Cup 2025DAVAO CITY, Philippines

Football enthusiasts and aspiring young athletes in Davao City are gearing up for the highly anticipated Golazo Futbol Winners Cup 2025, a two-day football extravaganza set to take place on June 14 and 15, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM on both days. The event will be held at the Tionko Football Field, Barangay 76-A Bucana Riverside, Poblacion, Davao City.
Sanctioned by the Davao Football Association, the tournament aims to foster local football talent, promote sportsmanship, and provide a competitive platform for players across various age groups and skill levels.
The first day,
June 14, 2025
, will feature categories for younger players, including Players 8 (born 2017), Players 10 (2015), and Players 12 (2013). Older youth divisions for boys include Boys 14 (2011), Boys 16 (2009), and Boys 18 (2007), alongside Girls 18 (2007). Most of these categories will follow an 8-A-Side format.
The excitement continues on
June 15, 2025
, with matches for Players 7 (born 2018), Players 9 (2016), Players 11 (2014), Boys 13 (2012), and Boys 15 (2010). The day will culminate with thrilling competitions in the Men's Open and Women's Open categories, promising intense action for all spectators. These categories will primarily utilize a 5-A-Side format.
